Welcome to this week's post!

Hope you've had a nice weekend of dancing and this tanda will keep that energy up!

I thought that it's time to share more music from Alfredo De Angelis. While I can't say De Angelis is one of my favorite orchestras - although for valses it actually is - I feel there's a place for a carefully selected tanda every now and then. Preferences vary and there's no denying that the De Angelis orchestra was popular among dancers and still is.

De Angelis neither had Aníbal Troilo's transcendence nor Osvaldo Pugliese's, but he was an honest leader that sought refuge in the traditional tango which was easily understood by the people. The evidence is in the amount of records that he recorded and that resulted in an impressive commercial success. - Ricardo Garcia Blaya, TodoTango

The Alfredo De Angelis & Oscar Larroca discography

Alfredo De Angelis made hundreds of recordings and featured numeous great singers such as Carlos Dante, Oscar Larroca and Juan Carlos Godoy. Oscar Larroca's recordings from 1951 onward featured Bailarin compadrito, Almagro and Zorro gris to name a few. The songs are a great mix of melody and rhythm and from the large discography you should have plenty of options for a few good tandas.
