21/2025 Rodolfo Biagi's instrumental tangos from 1950s
Biagi's amazing instrumental tango 'El Recodo' from 1952 is one tango classic I play a lot less than I would want to. Let's see if we can create a tanda around the song that would do it justice!
Getting started with the tanda
Rodolfo Biagi's 190 song discography is versatile enough for a lot of great vocal and instrumental tango tandas as well as several vals and a few milonga tandas. This time I want to build a tanda around 'El Recodo' instrumental tango from 1952. It's a huge classic with a lot of energy and arguably/possibly the finest version of this composition. My task is to find songs of equal quality or songs that can create together a coherent high quality tanda.
