15/2026 Carlos Di Sarli ...Para Siempre, Music Hall 12278 Vinyl Tanda
I'll create a tanda from one LP only. Video included!
Welcome to this week's tanda!
I know I just shared the Carlos Di Sarli & Mario Pomar tanda, but I just had to do this one after listening to Di Sarli on vinyl.
But... before I get into the tanda I'd like to announce that Tanda of the Week is accepting guest DJ tandas again! It was a bigger part of the blog in the first years in 2010-2016 and brought a lot of variety to the music shared. Now after restarting the blog and moving over to the Ghost.io platform, I think after the 80 tandas here, I'm again ready to share more tandas from the community!
Here are the few much appreciated guest DJ tandas so far:

So how to do it? It's easy!
Become a GUEST DJ on Tanda of the Week!
Send me an email to antti@tandaoftheweek.com with a tanda and don't forget your DJ name, where you are from and a few words about why you like the tanda. All the featured DJs receive a 12 month free subscription to the blog!
Why can't I have more and more records?
I'd love to have enough tango on vinyl to play them in milongas, but at least the 20 something records I have bring me much joy when listening to them at home. At some point I really thought about collecting tango vinyl seriously, but I had trouble making ends meet back then and just couldn't afford to go all in. Also with all the high quality digital releases coming out I figured it's best to stick to acquiring them instead.
Later when I was DJing swing jazz (and Finnish tango etc) , it was so much easier to buy a lot of great records for dirt cheap and only after a few laptop sets I was already DJing swing with only vinyl, which honestly is a lot more fun.
Anyway, back to my small Argentine Tango vinyl collection and one record especially, the...
Carlos Di Sarli album "...Para Siempre" on the Music Hall label.
The album has 12 instrumental tangos recorded between 1951 and 1953. Here's the track list.
LADO 1
- La Morocha 1951-09-26
- El Cabure 1951-12-06
- El Incendio 1951-09-05
- El Ciruja 1951-12-06
- Don Juan 1951-12-06
- El Pollito 1951-12-06
LADO 2
- Cara Sucia 1951-09-15
- El Jaguel 1953-08-14
- 9 Puntos 1952-04-08
- Mi Refugio 1952-10-27
- El Pollo Ricardo 1951-07-16
- Comme Il Faut 1951-09-26
These are most if not all songs that Di Sarli recorded several times and it is interesting to listen to versions of for example Comme Il Faut from 1947, 1951 and 1955. These early 1950s instrumental recordings are perhaps played less in milongas and the 1955-1958 instrumentals more often, but I would recommend everyone to give them a go.
There are obviously a lot more recordings from the time period and you should check out this Di Sarli instrumental discography on tango.info.
But for this occasion I'll create a tanda based on the songs from this LP only.
My tanda from the Carlos Di Sarli ...Para Siempre LP
- El Cabure 1951-12-06
- El Pollo Ricardo 1951-07-16
- La Morocha 1951-09-26
- Comme Il Faut 1951-09-26
I like it! I think I'll start playing it from my laptop more often as well.
I did my best to play the tanda on one record and one turntable. I think I did alright although the cortina was a few seconds late. What do you think?
Also let me know how you like the video and if I should do these more often?
